Why we sweeten with khejur gur
Most "no refined sugar" chocolates use stevia (bitter aftertaste), maltitol (digestive issues), or coconut sugar (no flavour distinction). We use our own Murshidabad khejur gur — the same date palm jaggery we sell in jars, NABL-tested and sulphur-free. Real jaggery has caramel and molasses notes that complement cocoa and toasted almonds the way refined sugar never can.
How to enjoy
Eat slowly — let each piece melt to release the almond and cocoa together. Pairs beautifully with hot coffee, dry red wine, or as a post-dinner sweet that won't leave you feeling heavy.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place (ideally 18–22°C). Avoid the refrigerator — moisture causes white "bloom" on the surface. Best within 6 months of manufacture.
